Sol de la luna
What if the gods walked among us?
Set in modern-day Manhattan, the goddesses of the sun and moon are depicted through mortal, everyday people and over the course of 30 days, they fall drastically in love. Sol de la Luna, meaning “sun of the moon”, is a conceptual film-based collection imagined as the wardrobe to the character’s, and highlights how details in clothing helps to drive the narrative. For instance, both characters have subtle details that highlight their growth over time. As the sun’s color palette changes with the sky and the moon’s clothing matches with the phases of the moon. Sol de la luna features clothing ranging from everyday-wear to formal wear/bridal and showcases original croquis and real fabric renderings.

concept board
Really wanted to explore the duality and opposition of the two beings, and how they can both play off of each other.
Inspired from how the light of the moon is from the sun, symbolizes how these two are always linked in reality and concept.
My muses are who I would cast to play each role.
I was really inspired by the sun and moon first, so I always love to research any historical information about a concept to see what I can nod to.
The duality of the two always felt so romantic to me so envisioning them having this epic romance in the style of a romcom just seemed right to pursue.
